You know what style of art you love. You know which artists stop your scroll. What you don’t know is what size will work in your space. Large art is usually a large investment. No room for mistakes. I get it.

A $5 roll of blue painters tape may help you find the answer to your question.

When collectors are unsure about the size of art they need for their home, I recommend the blue tape method.

It’s easy:

  • Get a roll of blue painters tape. You can get blue painters tape at Lowe’s or Amazon. (Make sure it won’t damage your walls or wallpaper - Eeek!)

  • Tape off the area on your wall that you feel looks about right.

  • Live with it. Walk by it. Stand back from it. Feel the size of the blue rectangle in your space.

Fortunately, I can have just about any size canvas (& frame, if desired) custom built. But, here are some standard, large sizes that you can use to try in your space. Use these as a starting point. You could also use two of these sizes as a pair.
